

Program Cost
1. Do applicants have to pay for any program fee for Au Pair in China Program?
We do not charge any application fees from au pairs. However, a downpayment of 100 USD should be paid when you have confirmed matching with a host family.

2. When do applicants pay for the downpayment? What is the downpayment for?
The downpayment should be paid after the interview talk with the program manager, when we decide to have the applicants in the candidates pool. The downpayment will be completely returned to au pairs upon their completion of the program. The downpayment is to make sure that au pairs are serious about signing up for the program as host families have to pay for your Mandarin course in advance in order to get au pairs visa supporting documents.

3. Do I book my own flight to China?
Yes, you will be responsible for booking your own flight to Shanghai China. However, flight stipend will be offered upon one's completion of the program.
If au pair participants would like us to book the flights, it's possible as well. Down payment of 325 USD will be charged in this case.

4. Do au pairs have to pay for their transport fee to the host family's city if it's not in Shanghai?
No, it will be covered by the host family. We will be booking the train/flight for the au pairs.

5. Do I pay for the visa fee? Do I apply for the visa myself?
Yes, au pairs will pay for the visa fee at the beginning. The visa fee will be reimbursed upon your completion of the program.
Yes, you will apply for the visa yourself, we will provide you with supporting documents.

6. When will I received the pocket money from host family each month?
Your pocket money of the first month will be received after your one month stay with them. Usually the pocket money is offered on the arrival date of each month.

7. How much money should I take with me for the first month of stay in China?
For basic living expenses, 1500-2500 RMB should be enough for the first month stay in China
​
8. How much will I receive as flight stipend and when do I receive the flight stipend?
You will receive 3000 to 12000 RMB as flight stipend depending on your length of stay. The flight stipend will be offered upon your completion of the program.

9. What fees do I have to pay for before I arrive in China?
